Windows on the City after dark
Photographs and an audio slideshow on the City as it winds down at the end of the day. Everyday thousands of office workers dissappear into the metropolis of the city. Taken from the street these photographs offer a selection of voyeuristic snapshots into this private office world of glass and concrete. A place where deals are made, countless meetings and functions are held, papers are filed, phone calls made and keyboards are pressed. At the end of the day, once these buildings have spewed out their workers, a ghostly environment of brooding empty gleaming cathedrals of lobbies and atriums is left behind, dwarfing the security personnel who stand guard – true monolithic monuments to modern day capitalism.
