"See Naples and die" is a quote of unknown origin that was made famous by Goethe in his book Italian journey. The quote refers to the visitor who, after seeing Naples, can die peacefully in the knowledge that they will never see anything as beautiful. These photographs were taken to accompany an article I wrote for the Traveller magazine. Naples is a city where all life is played out on its streets these photographs give a taste of the theatre of the city.
